A Present and Laconic Update

Hello again, pingers. We are very happy to announce the addition of two new systems into the land of ping. Please welcome Present.ly, a way cool and useful service, and Laconi.ca, the famous open-source micro-blogging software.

The addition of generic Laconi.ca support enables those of you who participate or run one of the various Laconi.ca servers, you can now tie in your Ping.fm account and increase the awesome.

We have a few more site being added in the near, and you know where to be once we drop the word! There are a lot of exciting things developing in pingland, so keep your eyes trained on this here fancy blog.

Update on int'l SMS: We are testing out few solutions to handle our international SMS connections, so bear with us as we get it put together. We haven't forgotten about you! Users in Canada have reported that SMS works to our current US number. We are unsure of the SMS charging rates for Canada to US, but you could try it if you're up to the challenge.
